Spare Bench: what can replace the eyebrow shadows?

29.09.2021

When shading the eyebrows, we get soft borders and careful filling of the gaps between the hairs. If you don't have your favorite eyeshadows at hand, then you can achieve a similar effect by replacing the shadows with other eyebrow shaping products.

EYEBROW PENCIL

For a subtle effect, reminiscent of shading eyebrows, do not hold the pencil at right angles to the eyebrow, but almost horizontally. This way you can draw with the side of the pencil, not with the tip of the pencil. The pencil will look like a tinted eyebrow without creating clear lines.

TINTED EYEBROW GEL

Rub the brush against the neck of the bottle so that the minimum amount of the product remains on it and comb the eyebrows with it in the opposite direction - against hair growth. This will allow the brush to get as close as possible to the roots and paint over the skin. At the same time, the excess product will not form on the eyebrow hairs themselves. For the final look, dip the brush into the product again and run it over the hairs in the direction of their growth.

EYEBROW POMADE

Check out the innovative Maybelline product that lets you draw and fix your eyebrows in one stroke. As a result, you get the effect of wide natural eyebrows without graphic lines.

Tinted Brow Pomade

For a lasting result, of course, it is worth dyeing the eyebrows with paint, with which it will be possible not to use the above products at all for two weeks. We have already talked about how to paint eyebrows. This time, we will remind you of the key safety rules.

HOW TO DYE EYEBROWS CORRECTLY: KEY POINTS

  • For dyeing at home, it is best to buy a ready-made kit. It contains all the necessary tools and ingredients in the right proportions. In this case, the kit should be designed specifically for dyeing eyebrows and eyelashes. Often many people wonder whether it is possible to dye eyebrows with hair dye. The answer is unequivocal: no. Hair dye contains much more aggressive components that can irritate not only the skin around the eyebrows but also the mucous membranes of the eyes.
  • Be sure to carry out an allergy test before the staining procedure. For greater efficiency, combine it with the test for the intensity of staining: draw 3 lines of paint at once on an inconspicuous area of the skin and wash them alternately after 5, 10, 15 minutes. This way you can estimate how the paint will look on your eyebrows depending on the exposure time.
  • Determine the desired shape and apply the paint within the marked boundaries, paying particular attention to applying paint to the skin for a tattoo effect. After the time required to achieve the desired color intensity, remove the paint with a damp cotton pad.
  • Avoid makeup and cleansers for 24 hours.
  • Don't dye your eyebrows too often. Once every two weeks is the best option.
