How to Diversify Your Makeup? Top 5 Tips

Everything about how to diversify the basic familiar makeup and learn new tricks using existing cosmetics.

Ruin the finished look. Go ahead!

The first way to add creativity to your daily life is to ruin your finished makeup. Remember how kids learn to paint? You give them coloring books and felt-tip pens, and they start painting whatever they want. You are terrified - the children are happy. And that's okay!

Do the same trick with makeup. Let's say you put on makeup according to all the rules for a conference in Zoom: matte tone, eyelashes, a little contouring. After the meeting, you have a ready-made canvas on your face for painting on which you can draw anything. You have finished working, and with your creative makeup, you don't have to go somewhere and show it to someone. Experiment: Apply lipstick you rarely use. The same lipstick can be applied to the eyes - type with your finger and apply to the center of the eyelid - you already have the base eyeshadow, and add the accent to the finished makeup.

You can do something completely crazy - ultra-dark lips, or apply gloss overly to your cheekbones and eyelids. Yes, it will all spread quickly. But at least you will know if you like this effect or not. And at the same time, you will rock your imagination.

Try on different lipsticks for your blush. What if you like purple ones?

Method number 2: can you try out all the lipsticks in your cosmetic bag and find out what happens if you apply them as a blush? You will likely find that a fuchsia blush suits you. How to do it? Just apply lipstick to your cheeks and blend. If it turns out too bright, do not stretch the lipstick all over your face. Just mix the border of the "blush zone" by applying a little tone on it with your fingertips. By the way, this trick can be done whenever you think you have gone too far with the blush.

Even if the very idea of using lipstick instead of blush does not warm your soul, there is a benefit in such an experiment. You can try on shades on your cheeks that you would not have looked at in the store - and after quarantine, you will be fully armed. How else do you know if fuchsia, deep red or even purple is great for you?

Try mascara as an eyeliner

Surely you have a black highlighter eyeliner that gives a thin, glossy line. But let's say you want the line to be matte. Take the thinnest art brush # 0 (this is when three hairs stick out from the iron clip) and black mascara. Draw ink on a brush and draw arrows with it. They will turn out dull. If you have colored ink, draw colored arrows. So you will understand what products you are missing in your cosmetic bag (or maybe it turns out that none :)).

By the way, if your arrows turn out to be uneven, like caterpillars, it makes sense to first draw the space between the eyelashes. Then you paint over the gaps, the arrow will automatically press against the eyelashes and will look smoother.

Make friends with the "nasty" eyeshadows

If you have eyeshadows that once disappointed you (who doesn't have them?) - uneven or just faded, try applying them to a pencil backing. Blue and green shadows look especially cool on a pencil of the same shades. It's cool to do the backing with a brown pencil - it makes the shades of the shadows deeper and more complex. Try, for example, combining such a backing with bright purple shadows. Just blend the pencil with a brush and apply the shadow.

The result may surprise you 🙂 In a good way.

Paint your eyelids with blush. Just be careful!

Can blush be applied to the eyes? Yes, but first check if you have an individual reaction: not all blush will withstand ophthalmological control. Apply a little and wait a few hours. If there is no allergy - go ahead!

In order not to get the effect "I have not slept for 5 nights", apply pink shades to the center of the eyelid, away from the lash line. For the same reason, I advise you not to use cold frosty shades - they create the effect of tear-stained eyes. The warmer the color, the better. It will also contrast beautifully with the iris of the eye.

If you are still afraid of tear-stained eyes, then draw a lash line and thickly paint your eyelashes with mascara - they will create a visual border between the white of the eye and the eyelid.

How to paint the space between the eyelashes if you wear lenses and are afraid that cosmetics will get on them? You paint over the lash line, then hold the eyelid with your finger and wait a few moments until it dries. Holding an eyelid with a finger may seem difficult to some, but for lenses users, it's a trifle!
